Τι Έμαθα για τους TMNT Μέσα στην Εβδομάδα;

Έμαθα ότι σχεδιάζεται reboot της πασίγνωστης μεταλλαγμένης ομάδας χελωνών - νίντζα, με παραγωγό τον Μάικλ Μπέι των Transformers, σκηνοθέτη τον Τζόναθαν Λίμπεσμαν των Battle: Los Angeles και Wrath of the Titans και τους σεναριογράφους του Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol. Η ταινία θα βγει στις αίθουσες τον Δεκέμβριο του 2013 και θα ακολουθεί την συνταγή του υπερεπιτυχημένου Rise of the Planet of the Apes, με τις χελώνες να είναι CGI απο motion capture και όλα τα υπόλοιπα live action υλικό. Όλα αυτά έχουν πάνω από ένα μήνα που ανακοινώθηκαν, ωστόσο εγώ τα έμαθα μόλις πριν λίγες μέρες.
 

"These turtles are from an alien race, and they are going to be tough, edgy, funny, and completely lovable." δήλωσε μέσα στην εβδομάδα ο Μάικλ Μπέι, σηκώνοντας θύελλα αντιδράσεων από οργισμένους φαν που δεν τους καλοάρεσε η προοπτική να δουν τις αγαπημένες τους χελώνες - νίντζα να είναι εξωγήινες και όχι μεταλλαγμένες. Κοινώς: Teenage Alien Ninja Turtles (TANT).

"Fans need to take a breath, and chill. They have not read the script. Our team is working closely with one of the original creators of Ninja Turtles to help expand and give a more complex back story. Relax, we are including everything that made you become fans in the first place. We are just building a richer world." ξαναδήλωσε ο Μάικλ Μπέι προσπαθώντας να ηρεμήσει τον μισό πλανήτη που ήταν έτοιμος να ξεσπάσει σε βίαιες εξεγέρσεις λόγω της πρωτοφανούς ιεροσυλίας.

"A few people — who don’t seem to understand that I am no longer in control of the property — want me to stop this, somehow. Obviously, I can’t do that, even if I wanted to.  But I would actually encourage TMNT fans to swallow the “chill pill” Mr. Bay recently suggested they take, and wait and see what might come out of this seemingly ill-conceived plan. It’s possible that with enough truly creative brainpower applied to this idea, it might actually work. I’m not saying it’s probable, or even somewhat likely… but it IS possible." δήλωσε ο Peter Laird, ο ένας από τους δύο δημιουργούς των TMNT, προσπαθώντας να καθησυχάσει ελαφρώς τους φαν που άρχισαν να ανησυχούν, παραδεχόμενος ωστόσο ότι ο ίδιος δεν έχει καμία σχέση με την ταινία και το στάδιο της προπαραγωγής της.

I’m officially on board, and will share more as I’m allowed… thanks all!" δήλωσε ο έτερος των δημιουργών Kevin Eastman ο οποίος όχι μόνο φαίνεται ότι έχει μεγαλύτερη σχέση με την ταινία απ' ότι ο Peter Laird αλλά δηλώνει και ενθουσιασμένος με την εξέλιξη του συγκεκριμένου πρότζεκτ.
